biggest loser

so, my favorite show is the biggest loser. and aparrantly it is to a few of my co-workers. we are having our own biggest loser contest at work, ironic since we work in a restaurant that serves huge burgers with at minimum 900 calories on each. but anyway, yeah. we split up into 2 teams of 7 because only 14 people wanted to particpate. the team with the highest percentage of weigth loss by april 25th wins a dinner date from the losing team. we started on sunday. and so far....umm, i've done okay. i'm only really doing this to eat better and to work out a little. i dont plan on losing more than 10 pounds. i doubt if ill even lose the 10 pounds. my eating habits are horrible, so hopefully by starting this little challenge it'll allow me to focus on what i'm eating and maintain a healthy lifestyle. i started working out a little at home, since the weather isnt too nice, i cant go running. once the spring rolls in, i think it'll be much easier for me to exercise at home. i can run before or after work and diminish eating out. i guess we'll see what happens..if you see me eating junk food and drinking soda or anything bad, get it out of my hands immediately! thanks for the support =) !

  1. Samantha, I am really proud of you. Please let us know how this challenge goes. This is really and excellent topic to write about each time you do a blog entry. You can have people follow your progress and give us some thoughts as to how we can be as successful at "getting in shape" as you are. In addition, you may attract followers who have some advice for you. Great. 3-6-10 Dr. Ries

  2. I'm with you because I was on the path of trying to lose weight, but then I got lazy. I have a free membership to the YMCA and I believe it's time to start back. You have inspired me and good luck on your journey as well.

  4. Even if your not doing this to lose weight, staying in shape it a great habbit to get into to. To keep you motivated, try to find a freind to someone to always work out with. If you do it on your own its easy to make up excuses and say "oh ill do it tomorrow instead", and never get there. If you do all this with someone, they will motivate you, and vice versa, to keep up with it.
